Animal House Pet Grooming

We offer canine and feline grooming services to pets from the communities of Arnold, Imperial, Oakville, and Barnhart as well as the greater Jefferson County and St. Louis County area.

The services we perform include haircuts, baths, nail trimming and filing, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, brushing, and de-shedding solutions.

Melissa is available on Tuesdays through Saturdays by appointment.

All dogs need to be up to date on rabies, distemper, and bordetella vaccines to be groomed. All cats need to be up to date on rabies and feline distemper (FVRCP) vaccines to be groomed. You can have your current/previous veterinarian send us vaccine records, or we can update the vaccines for your dog or cat. If your pet requires sedation for grooming, we do require an exam to establish your pet as a patient before grooming.

Melissa

Our AMAZING groomer Melissa has worked at Animal House Grooming Salon since January 2011. Melissa lives in St. Louis with her cats named Loki and Nandor.

Melissa’s grooming skills are so exceptional that people travel from all over to have their pets groomed by her. Below is a Bedlington Terrier that travels 45 minutes to see Melissa. She was the first groomer the owner was satisfied with the proper grooming of a Bedlington! Melissa’s extraordinary grooming extends beyond the canine realm and includes cats as well! Her tremendous talent is not limited to grooming but she is also the pet whisperer! Other groomers refer fractious pets to her when they simply cannot handle them. Melissa’s gentle handling and warm soul can convert nearly everyone. There are times when some pets respectfully decline grooming services and, for them, we have a veterinarian on staff to administer safe sedatives as necessary. If your pet needs a spa day we are here to make it the best!
